The King’s fridge
It was built in 1881 to store the King’s food.
Using snow and ice taken from the top of the hill and placed in the centre of the room, it was possible to use it to preserve foodstuffs. Today it is where our sparkling wines undergo bottle fermentation and spend time becoming extraordinary Alta Langa.
